We are Winners through Our Lord Jesus Christ!

We are Winners Through Our Lord Jesus Christ!
We have to remind ourselves of this incredible truth when we feel defeated by the multiple assaults of the wicked one and his armies. Began by reading carefully what Paul wrote concerning the implications of Christ’s resurrection for us Believers.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor. 15:57-58)
We have the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! As a victorious people, we must be steadfast in our service and warfare for the glory of our Lord. Christ desires for every Believer to experience His power, triumph, and victory over the enemy and indwelling sin. By His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ overcame the world (John 16:33; Gal 6:14), the flesh (Romans 6:1-6; Galatians 2:20), and the devil (Ephesians 1:19-23). He is the all-time undisputed heavy-weight Champion of the universe for time and all eternity! Furthermore, we are winners in Him! He actually shares His victory with His people—we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us (Rom. 8:37). That is correct; we Believers do not fight for victory; we fight from victory--Christ's triumph at Calvary and Resurrection! The Spirit of Christ empowers us, by faith, to appropriate Christ's victory into our own experiences. Beloved, count His Victory as your victory! We do not have to live in defeat, because we are winners in Christ.
In addition, offer God thanks and appreciation for giving us this grand victory. Paul, the apostle, said, “thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory”. He clearly appreciated the gift our Lord secured for us through His cross and empty tomb. I personally believe what Paul felt towards God’s generosity should be rather contagious. Not in the form of mere sentimentalism, but robust and decisive worship of Him because we are gripped by the reality of what Christ actually gave to us. Having been imprisoned by our sins, we are now free! Before we were barely persisting under the weight of our guilt before holy God, we are now forgiven, loved, and embraced by God! Before Christ saved us we were lost without hope and undone, but because of the grace of our Lord Jesus we are saved, adopted, and seated in heavenly places! Why, every Believer can be thankful for these marvelous blessings. I submit that we have abundant reasons to offer up our thanksgiving praise unto the Most High God. Let it spread like wildfire to each of our lives erupting into volcanic exclamations roaring out praise to our Lord God. Thank You Lord, for the victory! Thank You, Father, for allowing us to stand in the winners’ circle. No longer defeated and weak, but empowered and transform on the basis of Christ’s cross and resurrection—real winners.
Finally, appreciation must move from our lips to our lives, and from our mouths to our motives. Beloved, live out the spirit of gratitude in the most authentic and practical ways by walking daily in victory over discouragement, frustration, promiscuity, adultery, nudity, depression, and anger. Rise up in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ (Romans 6) to conquer fears, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, pornography, fornication, witchcraft, rage, lying, and stealing! As David wiped Goliath in the strength and victory God gives, slay the giants of cheating, manipulation, gossip, idolatry, the love of money, jealousy, doubt, homosexuality, materialism, and lust. Do not allow them to control or intimidate you—you are in Christ! He is the supreme Winner. Beloved, since you are a winner in Christ, act like one every day! Again, in the Name of Jesus Christ, The Son of God, I say it is time to walk in the victory of our Lord. Remember always, we have the victory through Him.

God Alone is a Majority!!

Is God on your side or are you on His? Is it really "God plus one is a majority?" Actually, God all by Himself is a majority! You see, He does not require any of our help to become a Winner! The implication of the statement though, is solidly credible—God does stand by His people and He unequivocally makes the difference against any odds. In His infinite mercy, He chose us unto Himself, for His glory, and our eternal good (Eph. 1). He alone is a Champion and Conqueror par excellent! Like no other He is The Deliverer, The Victor, and The Defender! It is pure wisdom and most reasonable for us to look to Him and place ourselves on His side.
As a matter of fact, He summons all peoples of every nation, kindred, and tribe to look to Him for salvation. Isaiah recording the opulent invitation says, "Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else" (Isa 45:22). Why then look to another for redemption, salvation, and reconciliation? Why work for what God has already provided in matchless extravagant grace? Salvation is in a “look unto Me” says the Lord God. That is, it is faith in Him and His work on our behalf.
Furthermore, He assures us that regardless of the tests, challenges, challengers, and obstacles that He is unrelentingly for us. Who in the universe then can possibly stand against Him who is for us? The Apostle Paul triumphantly exults, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Rom 8:31-32). Yes, but can we take God seriously? I would suggest we must. He has already sacrificed His only most-precious Son, the Lord Jesus, in order to deliver us from the eternal consequences of our sin. Christ is indeed the completely perfect sacrificial atonement for all sin. Our Heavenly Father has bankrupt Heaven to bring us into a relationship with Himself by giving His Son at Calvary. What more could God do to demonstrate His sincerity? I think it is clear we ought to take Him extremely serious. By the way, can anything successfully oppose Almighty God? I think not.
Perhaps there is still an element of doubt lingering in your heart haunting you and extinguishing your flickering confidence in the Lord. Though this is a serious condition, it need not be. The writer of Hebrews reminds us from where our help truly emanates. He articulates, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Heb. 13:5-6). Our God is our sovereign awesome Helper and He will never forsake us for any reason. I believe we can trust God to make good on His encouraging words. There is no reason to doubt Him any longer; He who is absolutely faithful has promised. It is incumbent then upon us to take Him at His word.
Yes, I know you have been burned before by people you trusted. Perhaps it was a mother, father, friend, a spouse, or even a stranger and the decision soon proved to be an awful one. Nothing cuts deeper than betrayal! Maybe you have had a difficult time trusting folk all your life because of a series of painful betrayals. But, there is still good news; you need not fear trusting an honest God who cannot lie. In spite of the fact that your faith has been weakened by betrayers, still take courage and believe God. Consider Isaiah's counsel, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isa. 41:10). See, there is nothing to fear. God promised that He "will help you" and indeed He will. God is not like any other you have trusted; He is actually most trustworthy. His name is Faithful--Hallelujah!!
Therefore, fear not because our Mighty God is our Helper, He is for us, and He will strengthen us as we pursue His plans with informed passion and radical abandonment! Look to Him as your Winner, Champion, Conqueror, Deliverer, Victor, and Defender. I personally have experienced His graciousness in all these regards and know with palpable certainty, He can be depended on always. Go on...go ahead; He invites you to do so. Always treasure in your heart the reality that God alone is a majority—chose to be a winner with Him. He has already chosen you for Himself.
