Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus,
Purely by the grace of Almighty God, I am an Independent Baptist Missionary Evangelist joyfully serving Christ in the Mid-Atlantic region since March 2013. Our ministry exists for challenging churches for spiritual revival, advancing the Gospel to the unsaved, equipping servants for Christian ministry in their local churches, and facilitating church planting in major US cities. My vision is to serve Christ as a passionate Gospel Evangelist, a Spirit-empowered Revivalist, a forceful Bible Teacher, and an edifying Christian Writer.
For 18 years our family served as missionaries to our U.S. Military stationed in Europe. In this ministry, I pastored three Independent Baptist Churches and served as a pastoral assistant in a fourth during our tenor in Germany. Because our military presence in Europe has been reduced considerably, Christ has directed us back to the USA to launch this Missionary Evangelism ministry.
I was saved August 21st, 1990 while stationed at Plattsburgh AFB, New York. God called me into the Gospel ministry in the summer of 1992, and I surrender to His call in the fall of 1992 while stationed in Germany. It has been my privilege to proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ now for over 23 years. Our Lord prepared us for ministry through Bethany Divinity College and Seminary. We were accepted and trained as missionaries by Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples (BMFP) in 1995. Our sending church is the Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia, and my pastor is Dr. Kenny Baldwin.
My vision is to fulfill a ministry based in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA initially that is focused on revival, missions, and training. Our desire is to prevent any further decline of Christian influence and increase Christ’s impact through Independent Baptist Churches in America. Any perceptive believer can discern the acute decline of Christianity in the USA. It is a fact that less than 20% of Americans regularly attend church. It is a fact that 3500 to 4000 churches close their doors each year in our country. It is fact that 1400 pastors leave the ministry monthly in America. It is true that only 15% of churches in America are growing and just 2.2% of those are growing by conversion growth. It is true that half of all churches last year did not add one new member through conversion growth. We have arrived at a critical juncture in our national history!
The vision and design of our ministry is to reverse this trend among Independent Baptist Churches beginning in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a missionary evangelist, my goal is to concentrate on several ministry particulars:
1. Old fashion and passionate Bible preaching in local church revivals and special spiritual renewal Sundays with the aim of edifying and challenging believers to rekindle a passion for our awesome God (Eph. 4:11, 12, 15).
2. Mission Conferences to promote and advance worldwide evangelism, church planting in the USA, and Faith Promise missions giving (2Cor. 8:6-12).
3. Service Training Ministry (Eph. 4:11-16; 2Tim. 2:2)—through training clinics and seminars, we offer high quality teachers’ and workers’ training, personal Bible study methods training, discipleship and evangelism training/instruction. The goal is to help pastors equip church members for effective ministry in and through their local church.
4. Facilitating church planting and stabilizing NT churches both stateside and overseas (Acts 14:19-28)—evangelizing, exhorting, teaching, and training—this will become a major feature of our future ministry. In a team effort we will participate in planting NT churches in major cities (USA) primarily through our sending church. This facet of ministry is aspirational and presently in the conceptual stages.
As you can see our ministry addresses many of these crucial areas of decline among churches in our country. Our nation needs Jesus Christ perhaps more than she ever has. Except we experience a Heaven-sent revival, much more spiritual territory will be lost to the real enemy of our national welfare, Satan. Revived churches and Christians can envision fresh initiatives in missions locally and abroad. Instead of churches declining and finally dying they can be refreshed in the Lord, embrace a renewed vision, and thrust out by the Spirit of Grace to impact the world for the glory of God. Pastors can be strengthened with divine might by the Spirit of grace deep within their inner person (Eph. 3:14-19) so that they thrive in Christ and not quit. Through our training clinics and seminars Christians can be measurably equipped and empowered for more effective service alongside their faithful pastors impacting their communities for Christ. The hope for our country is Christ at work through revived and strong New Testament Christianity taking root and advancing the cause of Christ.
Having been saved now for over 28 years, I am 100% convinced that people still need Christ Jesus! After serving the Lord these past 23 years, it is my conviction that He still uses human instrumentality to reach the lost with the Gospel and to participate in the ministry. There is absolutely no doubt, God desires to stir, revive, train, challenge, and launch Christians into Christ-centered Spirit-filled biblical ministries that will glorify Him. This is our burden and vision for this missionary evangelism ministry. Because of Calvary and the Empty Tomb, we yearn to be your servants for Christ’s sake. Perhaps God will use us to serve your church; we would count it a distinct honor to minister to you in the capacity of a special spiritual renewal Sunday, a revival meeting, mission conference, training seminar/clinic, or to simply fill the pulpit while you are away. The additional information on this cite will acquaint you more with us and our work. Thank you for the prayerful consideration.
